My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We of course went for their lunch special and let me tell you, this place is a must, not only is the food delicious but you get treated so well an the live music is the cherry on top. We started off with appetizers (tuna tower, calamari Fritti, golden brown cauliflower, naked golden wings) everything was chefs kiss. We then got our meals, Short Rib Pappardelle pasta, Mediterranean salad, Truffle Aioli Burger with a Charcuterie Board on the side. We finished it off with dessert churros, cheesecake and banana split. We had to personally tell the chef Julio that his dishes were so flavorsome 🤌🏼 like my husband said you really put your elbow in this one. I recommend you try everything on the menu. Let's not talk about the pizza joint they got next door. This is a restaurant and not a fast joint so the prices for happy hour were reasonable and not bad. We definitely paid for what we got and the plates (appetizers) are good for four people. Once again Thank you guys for an amazing time and for being so prompt and attentive especially Sergio. We will be back soon forsure.

Definitely mixed reviews. First off, it's expensive. And the service was horrible when I went. We waited 10 minutes at the front and the host/hostess was nowhere to be found, we had to walk in and get a bartender to find a waiter for us. Never came back to refill our water or deliver the check, had to flag someone down again before we left. The concept of this lounge is pretty cool, it's an elevated experience with good food and drinks where you can also ask for a chess set to play. The vibes are great once you're seated. No AC, outdoor/connecting areas so it can get stuffy in the summer. The food itself was fantastic. Truffle fries were crispy and well-flavored, and the eggs Benedict was a joyful combination of buttered English muffin, poppable egg, and creamy tomato sauce. Absolutely divine. Watch out for the bill though, when I was here the fine print added a mandatory 15% tip for parties of ONE or more... at that point you might as well make the already high prices on the menu even higher, the service was non-existent. I would come back to pick up food but I would hope that dining in is usually a better experience.

My new favorite place. Breakfast and dinner are both next level!! I love the live entertainment and the ambiance. The mushroom croquettes are my go to and the lamb chops are cooked perfectly!!

Server was ok, did his job right. For this price food could be way better. Gratuity for what? 15% ? Well that interesting. considering how expensive the food was, I was expecting it to taste a whole lot better. 4% that goes to the restaurant, which I thought was a bit gratuitous considering the taste of food and item prices. I've been in teems of different restaurants but this calamari meal was the worst, not even a plate a bowl that I would use for soup with this amount of hot pepper? I love spicy food but not eating spicy pepper without food. $100 for a 20 oz steak? Unbelievable

Went for a Sunday dinner. Ordered the mushroom pappardelle pasta with chicken. 2 plates and a bottle of water cost us $120. After few days we noticed they double charged us. My friend called to check why they charged both of our cards for the total amount instead of spliting it. They never returned our call. Very poor customer service.

Our recent visit to the Chess Park Lounge in Glendale was an overall pleasant journey through their robust and flavorful menu. From the chic ambiance that perfectly marries sophistication and relaxation to the tantalizing dishes, every aspect of this restaurant echoes its high standard. We were greeted with a diverse menu, and while the selections were certainly not lacking in appeal, we chose to sample their calamari and burgers. The calamari was a showstopper, cooked to a perfect crisp while maintaining the tender nature of the seafood. Each bite was a delightful crunch, harmonized by a flavorful dipping sauce that showcased the chef's ingenuity. Moving on to the burgers, it was a flavor expedition in its own right. The patty was succulent, and the ingredients were undeniably fresh. Topped off with a burst of tangy sauces and a perfectly toasted bun, the burger offered an exquisite blend of textures and tastes that was more than pleasing to our palates. However, the Chess Park Lounge does make you pay a pretty penny for the culinary journey. The prices are a bit on the steeper side, something to be noted if you're considering frequent visits or dining on a budget. Although the taste and presentation were unblemished, the portion sizes could have been more generous. We found ourselves longing for a few more bites of the delicious calamari and a more satiating burger experience. Despite these factors, the Chess Park Lounge certainly does not disappoint when it comes to taste and overall dining experience. The service was professional and prompt, contributing to the smoothness of the evening. In conclusion, if you're someone who prioritizes taste and ambiance over budget and quantity, the Chess Park Lounge is an indulgence that you might just enjoy. It's a place where quality is clearly preferred over quantity, a testament to their pursuit of delivering a memorable gastronomic experience.

I recently dined at Chess Park Lounge with my family on a Sunday evening, and it was an experience to remember. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly empty, but the upscale, old-school ambience was apparent from the moment we walked in. There is an inside section with an island bar, as well as an outside section with an awning where live music is played. The live music was a classy touch and really enhanced our dining experience. We were seated inside by our incredible server, Kelsey, who was kind, attentive, and offered great suggestions. Her exceptional service made the dinner experience truly exquisite. For our starters, we ordered the bone marrow dish and calamari, both of which were incredible. For our main course, we shared the papardelle - both the short rib and truffle mushroom versions. The pasta was fresh, delicious, and my favorite was definitely the truffle mushroom due to its creaminess and umami flavor. For dessert, we tried the s'mores and tiramisu. The s'mores dish was a bit too sweet and expensive for what it was, but the tiramisu was absolutely delicious. Overall, I highly recommend Chase Park Lounge for its delicious food, incredible service, and classy ambience. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Glendale, California, this is the place to go!

Stopped through to grab a bite to go. The vibe was nice with live music playing. Not crowded and had plenty of beautiful people maturely enjoying their time. Next time I will plan to dine in to experience the atmosphere more. 👍 pasta was good 3 stars, needed more seasoning in the sauce, a little plain for my taste, However the roasted carrots were a nice side portion.
